Dr Sage intends on only taking a short trip, traveling specifically to a war-torn period of time to help ensure her demise. What she ends up facing is horrors beyond her imagining. Abigail says, “human actions in extremis are worthy of study,” but these memories may be more than Dr Sage can swallow.
Being forced to dress for dinner has a rather deleterious effect on our Doctor’s sense of caution. Is it that her corset is too tight? The rustling silk of her skirts too heavy? The kid leather of her gloves to constricting? Whatever the cause, the result is a champagne-fueled flight into the far future under the shadow of the mysterious Charges du Faire.
Sage and Savant have grown complacent with their travels, taking the miracle of transmigration for granted, the doorways to other times and places as a given. The universe has a way of humbling those that do not show proper regard for these things. In this month’s episode, Our heroes discover what it is like to lose one of their own and what lengths they will go to in the quest to retrieve a friend.
Seeking further enlightenment, Dr Sage and Prof Savant travel back to 2nd century China. In this time, Dr Sage learns that time travel can be a “ruff,” leaving Savant to fumble his way through the concepts of immortality.
Doctor Sage went to Italy for the holidays and fell in love. Now she must rebuild her heart and refocus her energies on the work of navigating time and space. This month we join our Steampunk adventurers on a journey to the New World and an introduction to Viking culture in VIKINGR. Never doubt the power of electrical charge and one woman’s determination to change the course of history.
